DESIGNING EMOTION: A COLLABORATIVE UNIVERSITY PROJECT
This multidisciplinary project involved working within a group of students to produce a set that would be professionally photographed for a hypothetical editorial purpose. The set had to be created from upcycled or donated materials from our sponsors which were: John Lewis, Orangebox and Sigma3 Kitchens. The groups were made of up students studying various artistic subjects so that we could all work collaboratively in making, building and organising our props. Each set had to represent a specific design trend and we were designated WGSN's 'Designing Emotion'.
Creating Props and Accessories
Not only were we tasked with creating realistic-looking props and accessories, but we also had to build and construct the set ourselves. It was great to have the opportunity to be so hands on with a project, after doing the majority of my work on a laptop or computer. This selection of images show the development of some our main props and how our set was created.
